Mountain biker and occasional road cyclist from Honduras, currently living in southeast USA
Tell us your cycling story?I have been riding mountain bikes for six years now. I got into it as I was looking for a way out of a depression and something that would expose me to the outdoors more.
What are you training for at the moment? My training season is over and I am currently in the middle of my race season. My big A-priority race is USAC XC MTB Marathon Nationals at the beginning of May.
What do you love most about riding bikes? The community that riding bicycles creates is what draws me into this sport so much more than anything else, as I have found some of my most significant friendships to date through this sport. I also do love that I can exercise my competitive personality.
How many Fondo kits do you own and which one is your favourite? Two. My Cubism kit is my favourite. It has the perfect race fit for my petite body.
What do you like about your Fondo kit?I love the material used for the jerseys. I have tested these jerseys out in extreme hot Florida summer weather, and in very cold sub-freezing temperatures surrounded by glaciers. All it takes is the appropriate base layers, and I have a kit that's functional all-year round. I absolutely love the fact that the designs are feminine, yet give us an edge of style while looking very professional. I'm grateful for a brand that doesn't just "pink it out" for us.
And finally, what makes Fondo kit so comfortable?
The bibs have a chamois that fits my lower body just perfectly on both my mountain bike and road bike. The fabric has just the right amount of compression, and the elastic leg bands truly do keep it all in the right place.
